Latent Image's Student Film Festival Latent Image's Student Film Festival will take place in April at 216
Tremont Street in Boston. It will be a showcase of student video and film
projects. The best projects will be awarded by a panel of guest judges.
The event is Boston’s only free competitive festival of student
works. What kinds of projects are shown: All the projects are student works. Last year we build a program that had exceptional student works from a wide range of production levels. When judging each work we consider how good the work is for its skill level. For example, we’d ask if a work is an example of a well made Film 1. We’re not interested if its better then the film 3s we get. We want a large range of student work. That means both a range of skill level and a range of types of projects. We want narratives, documentaries, experimental work and animation. We want both videos and films. We want work made for class and works made independently. The only main rule is that it was made by student(s) who go to Emerson
College. Also, the shorter your project is the better your chances of
get in. But there is no time limit. Information on Submitting: All work must be submitted on a VHS or DVD. It is free. You will get your tape back. We’re not the evvys.
Submission Deadline: Has not been announced yet. Please check back later.
